Welcome to the Art Studio of Hilltop School! At Hilltop the art studio is a place where students learn about and create many different forms of visual art. We draw, paint, cut, glue, weave, sculpt, discuss, investigate, and explore art. Students in 1st - 3rd grade have a 45 minute class once a week in the art studio. Kindergarten students have a 30 minute class once a week in the art studio.
A few notes about art classes in general:
***All 1st - 3rd graders need a sketchbook for art class this year. For the 2024-2025 school year, our hardworking PTO has purchased the sketchbooks for our students. Thank you PTO!
***Please make sure your child has an old t-shirt of Mom or Dad's at school to wear over their clothing on messy days in the art studio. It also might be best for your child to not wear his or her nicest clothing on art days. If you do not know when your child has art, please contact me or the classroom teacher. Please don't go buy a smock - the old t-shirt will cover your child's clothing more thoroughly.
